Henry Wiles - Flat track
Henry grew up in Blanchard, Michigan in the epicenter of the largely Midwestern sport of Professional Flat Track Racing. If you’ve never had the opportunity to stand in the infield and watch these racers pin their big v-twins down the straight and hurl themselves, bar to bar, into huge power slides at around 140mph, well then… you haven’t experienced one of the most adrenalin pumping moments in all of two wheels. In a very short time, Henry has succeeded in etching his name in the minds of even the top veterans of the sport.
Henry earned his professional license in 2003 and has been very busy building his successful racing resume ever since. 2005 was a breakout year for the charismatic young racer, marked by his second in a row win of the Peoria TT. He is only the fifth rider in history to accomplish this record. From there, Henry saw the podium at Daytona and the Springfield TT and this tenacious competitor went on to earn four more top five finishes and 11th overall for the season…an incredible accomplishment given the years of experience and raw talent of the veteran filled field.
In 2006, Henry had a feeling that Aprilia has what it takes to help make him a champion and he moved to his new team.
